WHAT IS THIS!?
This is a sick and evil event of my own design that was heavily inspired by the list jams that used to run on this site once upon a time (but for musicians). The idea is simple. You have three lists of 10 different restrictions and you have to pick one restriction from each list and build a track around it. The restrictions are organized by how difficult they would be to incorporate into a track. If you choose difficult restrictions and make them work well, you have a higher chance of winning.
WHAT DO I WIN!?
I currently have a pot of $175 that will be split between a first, second, and third place winner. The current winnings are as follows:
1st Place: $100
2nd Place: $50
3rd Place: $25

WHAT ARE THE RULES!?
Rule 1:
You MUST use at least 3 limitations. You can use more if you want, but it is completely up to you. (This will factor into my judgement)
Rule 2:
If you want to collaborate with someone, that's completely fine. You just have to figure out how to split the money if you win.
Rule 3:
You must have a screenshot (or screenshots) of your daw sent with your upload. If you don’t do this, you will be disqualified.
Rule 4:
YOU HAVE UNTIL OCTOBER 30TH @ 11:59 PM EST TO SUBMIT. I’M NOT TAKING ANY LATE SUBMISSIONS. YOU MAY START AS SOON AS TODAY.
Other than that follow the audio portal guidelines.
If you use AI in any capacity, fuck you. (I can tell btw)

Okay now for the fun part. If your dumbass did not read ANY of the stuff written above, do that.
INSTRUMENTATION LIST:
● Prominent XYLOPHONE/MARIMBA. (Bone Music)
● Prominent THEREMIN. (Ghost Music)
● Prominent PIPE ORGAN. (Vampire Music)
● Prominent CHOIR. (Exorcist Music)
● Prominent SCREAMING SAMPLES. (I guess bro)
● No Drums. (boomboomboomboom)
● Orchestra! (Must include strings, horns, etc)
● Prominent GONG. (Like the really loud circle)
● Only 4 instruments. (Minimalism!)
● At least 15 instruments. (Maximalism!)
COMPOSITION LIST:
● No higher than 60 BPM. (Spooky slow music)
● No lower than 150 BPM. (Freakishly fast music)
● Diminished Chords. (Use diminished chords 10 times)
● Augmented Chords. (Use augmented chords 10 times)
● Irregular Time Signature. (NO 3/4 and NO 4/4)
● Irregular Tuning. (Cannot be 440 Hz!)
● Dynamic BPM. (There must be at least 3 tempo changes)
● Time Signature-Maxxing. (At least 2 time signature changes)
● Oops! Only Soundfonts! (Use soundfonts exclusively!)
● No effects. (No reverb, delay, distortion, etc. ONLY EQ)
WILD CARD LIST:
● Thriller! (Michael Jackson ad-libs + Linn-Drum)
● Phaser. (There has to be a prominent phaser effect)
● Long Song. (At least 5 minutes long)
● A moment of silence. (At least 5 seconds of silence)
● Vamp. (Playboi Carti ad-libs)
● “I’m T-Pain, You Know Me” (Autotune like T-Pain)
● Swing. (You have to have a prominent swing in it)
● Jumpscare. (Add a jumpscare)
● Short Song. (Cannot be longer than 2 minutes)
● Just fuck me up bro. (I give you a completely random limitation. DM me.)

I will be the only judge. I really do try my hardest to show no bias! If you don’t like the sound of me being the judge, don’t join. Other than that, have fun!
